What is Incubation?

In Butcher, every time you buy a new animal, it goes through an incubation period during which its APR double at every epoch. After this incubation period the APR will stop doubling. It's like putting your animal in a blockchain barn where it gets ready for the reward frenzy ahead.

Incubation Times

Each animal has a different incubation period:

• Chicken: Incubates for 24 hours before its APR stop doubling.

• Cow: Needs a bit more time to get comfortable—its incubation period is 48 hours.

• Moo-deng: This high-stakes animal is the slowest to warm up, with an incubation period of 72 hours before its APR stop to double.

Why Incubation?

The incubation period is designed to prevent players from quickly buying and slaughtering animals for instant rewards. This delay ensures that there’s a balance to the game, making it a strategic decision on when to cash out.
